Random Somethings
Looking at distant nothing,
Smeared with destiny,
Sprinkled with hope,
Thoughtful and blank,
Searching for the gloom that once pervaded me,
Ignorant of the reason for its disappearance,
Or of the exact moment,
Or of the possibility of its return any moment,
I am pondering over the exact definition of happiness..
Is that a distinct entity,
Or just plain lack of sorrow?
Am I being over indulgent in the moment,
Or is this way joy feels?
I have always thought
Happiness was a retrospective acknowledgment,
But I feel it now,
This moment,
And I am not sure if it’s the same,
I may not remember this moment in the future,
But today,
This minute,
Life is good.
